Resolution in Photoshop CS5

Resolution refers to the number of pixels per inch (ppi) or centimetre in the image. High resolution images contain more (smaller) pixels than an image of the samewidth and height with a lower resolution.

To change the resolution go to Image > Image size > delete the existing value for resolution and enter a new resolution, then click OK.
